AND THE AWARD GOES TO....

Q. Are you a Twi-hard? Do you LOVE the Twilight series or are you one of those ladies that didn't really care for it?

Here's my take.

I liked them. But, like Jordan, I too had issues with them. I won't go into the things that bugged me throughout the series--however, I find it humerous seeing married women act like teenagers again. Though, I must say, if a book has the power to start a cult and get women to act outside their ususal norm--that is impressive results. Stephanie Meyer had the ability to hook her readers, to personalize her characters that it drew the reader to like, care, or even hate them.

Wherever you fall, Team Edward vs. Team Jacob, or even Team Neither, everyone has an opinion. Jordan has posted a humerous clip that is funny for both crowds. Head on over and check it out. (I laughed seeing the lone dude sitting in the theater crowd amidst a sea of women. ONLY because--that lone dude was sitting next to me. No, not my husband, some 5o-something y/o single guy who sat by himself. Ew. And creepy.)

Walk on over to Jordan's place and check out the music clip. :)

And I want to thank the sweet girl from I'm Not a Volcano for the Beautiful Blogger award! It makes me feel good that people like what they read--and can relate. I like that I have a place to write humerously about my little crew. Thanks to the followers who come and share it with me!

Because there is nothing better than laughing at me--er--with me! ;)

Now I must list 7 interesting things about myself. I know you all logged on this morning because the anticipation to know Camryn better was just too much! Allow me to curb your enthusiasm! Grab your popcorn and sit back ladies!

1--When I was 7 years old, I was chosen as the kid at Seaworld to come up during the Shamu Show to hug the whale, feed it, and get my picture taken. It was a thrilling and terrifying experience. You are instructed to lean over the tank and hold your arms out. You don't even see the whale coming. And suddenly, your hands are full of rubber and teeth.

2--I dislike fruit. A lot. Okay, I hate it.

3--I am writing a book. Isn't everybody? It's a medieval novel, fictional, and without magic. But the heroine is a princess...

4-- I just completed the first book with my editor. We are now on book 2.

5--It took me 9 years to write. (I had 4 kids in all that time. Mommyhood comes first.)

6--I have a fear of the ocean. Flying over it, swimming in it, boating and becoming stranded...you name it. I like swimming pools and lakes, but I hate the ocean. Why? It's a silly, irrational fear. I'm afraid that if I fly, the plane will crash, I'll be the sole survivor (miraculously)and everyone's blood will draw sharks and killer whales to the plane site and I will die a painful death getting eaten alive. Peice for peice. If I swim in the ocean--same scenerio. One will pull me under and I will die horrendously. (The movie Jaws was not influenced in my fears. I'm just weird.)

7--I dream of backpacking Europe one day. I also dream of adopting children from Romania. I also dream of a full nights rest, a day without diapers and toddler poop, exquisite calorie and fat free chocolate. I dream of a day where I can wake up and go shopping and buy whatever I want, however long I want, do whatever I freakin' want, embarrass myself however I like on my own account, all without 1-4 children in tow! (I also dream that cottage cheese was just a disgusting cheese you buy in the super market, not something you'd expect to see cratered down your backside.)

Anyway, enough about me. My nominees for the Beautiful Blogger award is a hard choice. You want to elect everyone. I hate to confess, but I chose randomly--only because if there was 8 things to know about me, #8 would have been: I AM INDECICIVE! I can't make decisions! Do I want butter pecan ice cream or black cherry ice cream, and I can only choose one?

What!? Can't I have both? UGH. Do you see my problem?

So, here they are in no particular order--except for #1

1-Jordan at Mean Mommy Academy. It's a packaged deal. If you nominate me, you nominate Jojo. It's like Team Camryn and Team Jordan. Only, there is no rivalry between us. :)

2--Emmy @ Emmy Mom's photo project. Beautiful and fun pics! She's awesome!
3--Jess @ All Tied Up I love her. I love her optimism, the challenges she faces, and her humor!

4--Rachel Sue @ Trapped Between and Scream and a Hug She tells it like it is!

5--A Musing Mother Hilarious. Seriously good stuff!
6--Lali @ The Johnsons Another woman who keeps it real and entertaining!

7--Amo @ Where a Woman Shakes Her Tablecloth Fun and FUNNY! It's a wonderful place to go and visit!

Thanks for the award! I love reading your blog, so glad you got this award.

I don't really like swimming in lakes or the ocean.. but not because of sharks, more because of fish. I just know a fish is going to come up and touch me or bite me or something. So hey at least your fear doesn't make you look like a wimp! :)

Camryn,

I'm glad you got the award, you totally deserve it :)

thanks for nominating me!! I was so excited, I slapped my husband!! He wasn't too happy about it though ;)

the seaworld experience, classic! I bet now you wish that one of your kids could get the chance to do that too :)

you aren't the only one with a fear of the ocean. My mom won't go anywhere near the ocean, but not because she's afraid she will die... because of the germs! haha! wierdo! at least yours is a "rational" fear :)
