MANIC MONDAY

So…………I had a busy week. Nearly every spare minute was used up doing this:

Yes, it’s my husband shoveling, but I was a good cheerleader, and we did take turns.

I hate shoveling snow.

At the beginning of winter, the first few times are fun. I feel child-like and giddy because I start thinking of all those calories I’m burning off my rhino butt, exercising muscles unused since last year’s Tour De Snow to uncover my sidewalk. But, like Miley Cyrus’s ‘Party in the USA’ that has been played on the radio long enough and beaten into the ground—the excitement has worn off. I am now counting down the days until spring.

When I finally did manage to steal a moment to myself between long affairs with the snow shovel, I was doing this:

Playing on the computer and eating unhealthy snacks. The calories I gained back have rightfully declared my booty to be their eternal establishment. There was a ribbon-cutting ceremony, (my self control shattering,) and an award ceremony, (Cookies, candy, chocolate covered almonds...)

And after playing a no-win game of neglect with my kitchen, the laundry, and the whole house, my Saturday was spent doing this:

Like little Bo Peep, I was desperately trying to corral my sheep.

But then this happened again, and my boyfriend was calling:

Awwwww. It missed me.

But instead of shoveling, I pulled the unexpected and our family did this:

I let my shovel take the day off. Who needs a snow free driveway?

I hope you’re enjoying a fun 2010 winter season—although I hear there have been quite a few tornados across the U.S.

I take back my complaints. I think I would rather have the snow!

Yes Southern California weather has sucked lately... and you did make the snow look fun, but I think I will stick with my sun :)

I know exactly what you mean...I spent all weekend trying to corral my little herd as well. Diapers here & there, diapers everywhere!

Love the picture of your darling daughter asleep half in & half out of the toy box! Classic & priceless in one shot!

I'm glad you liked my plug! It's intuition that I knew you cheered your hubby on from the couch. 'Cuz I totally would do the same ;)

I'll give you double points if you could still see him from where you were sitting...

When's our next 'cheer' practice?

I love your son in the pink bo beep costume! He doesn't have older sisters does he? *giggles at the thought of him having a tantrum over not being able to pink unicorn for halloween* Gotta love it.

And yes I'm sooo sick of the snow too!

Those are some pretty adorable sheep!

I know what you mean. I hate shoveling snow. This winter, here at least, has been good for that. The only storm that was big enough to require was while we were in CA for Christmas!
