The other day I had recalled a funny memory. I had been on my friend’s Facebook page and she had asked if anyone had sung a song—only to realize the lyrics were wrong. That’s when I had remembered my husband singing in the car while we were driving thru town.
Do you remember when Leann Rimes's song ‘I Need You’ was popular years ago? It was playing on the radio and my hubby started humming along. When the chorus started he sang, "I need you like water, like breath, like Revlon."
????
I started laughing. "It's Rain," I told him. "I need you like water, like breath, like rain."
"Oh," he said. "I thought it was Revlon because women can't live without their make-up."
Dude, the words aren't even close enough to rhyme! That would be like me singing Miley Cyrus's song 'Party In The USA' and singing instead, "....movin' my hips like yeah, swingin' my hips like yeah. Hey! It's a party in Africa! It's a party in AFRICA!!!!"
Seriously, I still laugh about that. :)
Have you ever sung a song, only to find out you had been singing the lyrics wrong the whole time?

Yes, yes I have.
Have you ever sung a song you used to sing when you were little & as you are singing it as a grown up you all of a sudden realize what the lyrics are REALLY saying & you think..."OH MY WORD!! THAT'S A DIRTY SONG!"
That happened to me about 6 months after I got married. "Relax" by Frankie Goes to Hollywood came on the radio & I was singing along to it and about half way thru the song, I realized what I was really singing.
3 shades of red even though I was all by myself in the car! What were my parents thinking letting me sing that song out loud or even listening to it to begin with! Holy crap!
ROFLOL
yes I have done that plenty of times. My hubs actually changes the lyrics on purpose. He changed "Breathe" by Faith Hill to
"I can smell your breath, it kinda smells like death, and suddenly I'm melting to the floor......Baby don't breathe"
nice huh?
I can't think of any specifics. But I will say this. My husband is the W.O.R.S.T. lyric mix-upper EVER!!!! It was almost a deal-breaker when we were dating :)
Like Revlon? LOL - that is cracking me up! There are so many songs I've gotten wrong over the years, I can't even tell you.
ABBA - for the longest time we sang 'There's that gook in your eyes'.
Lol! That is awesome.
And yes I am infamous for messing up words... I can't remember any right now though. but yea I do it all of the time
lol all the time...
I have one, My friends little sister was singing to a elton john song and in it he says "Vagabond" well, she promptly sings "bag of bombs", it had us all rolling on the floor, and her mom was wilted with laughter on the sofa with tears streaming down her eye with mirth.
