JORDAN'S STREET

You know when people say, "I'm having one of those days." ?
Yeah, you know exactly what they mean--and you know there is usually a g-r-e-a-t story behind those words.

Jordan was having "one of those days".

One of those:

THOSE kind of days.
Oh, do I SOOOOOOO know and understand THOSE kind of days.
*sigh*
Read about her humerous day for some womanly bonding, some one-on-one understanding time.
"Potty training your child--exhausting. Brand new Christmas dress soiled--check. Rolling and smashing out clumps of brown sugar..."
"Therapeutic."
(You thought I was going to say: "priceless", huh?)
For everything else, check out Jordan's post HERE!
I hope your season is kind, that your shopping gets done, that you find time to enjoy the season.
My husband is always looking for fun things to do with the kids. He's the "fun dad", the one who lets them eat a cookie before dinner, lets them jump on the bed, records all the x-mas shows at night for the kids.
The other day, he, (not me), made sugar cookies to let the kids frost and decorate them. He bought all the candy, got the frosting, and set the table out to make sure everything was prepared and ready for our kids.
My littles had fun, taking their cookie frosting seriously. My independent 4 year old refused help. She was "a big girl" and wouldn't let anyone help her frost her cookie.
Allowing her to decorate her cookie, the hubby and I walked away. He turned on some Christmas music, I went to go sneak a hot, freshly baked sugar cookie!
That's when I choked.
I had to perform Heimlich on myself. My husband was bent over, laughing uncontrollably, tears leaking from his eyes and oblivious to my 911 emergency as he showed me my daughter's decorated cookie.
NEVER NEVER NEVER laugh when you're eating a cookie.

LeT's TaKe a ClOsEr LoOk....

Naughty, NaUgHtY, NauGhTy sugar cookie!!!
It seems Jordan and I both had cookie malfunctions this week....oh, we are SO related!
Have a great weekend everybody!!

I didn't even know they had candy canes to decorate with! The funny thing was, we were both OUT of the room when she had decorated her cookie. That's why we were so shocked that she had put the candy cane in uh....that particular place.

It must have been a boy cookie because she kept saying, "Do you like him mom? Do you like my gingerbread man?"

LOL--I've got to keep her away and distract her when I'm changing her baby brother's diapers!!!
